Relief Society President no more?

I am officially not Relief Society President anymore, however I still have to act like I am!

With the changes with how they are doing YSA Wards they released everyone and are changing everything. Our ward was just for the Magna Central Stake and now it will cover ALL of Magna and the Hunter Stake in West Valley. Our Stake will cover a lot more! All the way out to Taylorsville and everywhere around it. We have our first Stake Conference this Sunday. Which means Spencer 8th Ward will no longer exist and we will now be the Magna Utah YSA Ward.

There are a lot of concerns with how this is going to work. Thankfully our Bishopric is staying the same, but still. We could have so many people that we have to have two sets of Relief Society and Priesthood. And the way I feel about it is, if we have enough for two, why didn't we just make two wards? But, that's not my decision. We will make the best of it.

I liked knowing everyone's name and I think we finally were not cliche anymore, which was great. So I'm worried it's now going to be "our" ward vs "theirs" but I'll have to figure out someway to not make it that way. But I have no idea what's going to happen with my calling but for now I will still act like Relief Society President. After that, who knows.

I know it's for the best though. I know this is coming from the First presidency and you can't deny the things they feel is best. Now, I don't like how they've flat out said they are doing this so more young people get married, but I also understand their fears and concerns. I look out and see a hug gap from the youth to the "married" and that scares them. Who will "run" the church when the "married" are gone, but the youth are still too young, or have fallen away? They fear that and I understand that. And I think being around people going through the same thing is going to be a huge bonus. And to know that our stake conferences will be about US and directed to US is a huge bonus.

So while it's crazy and new and worrisome, maybe, it's for the best. I know that. It's a new journey and we are all in the same boat together.

On that note though - A cute picture of me and my live bug watching hockey! GO WINGS!

Callings

So, I got a new calling. One that isn't surprising, but one that I'd hope not to ever get - Relief Society President. Oh yes, President Wojno at your service! Am I nervous? Not really. Do I think I'm ready? Not really. Do I think it's what I'm supposed to do? Not really. But isn't that how most callings are? You rarely get the callings you think you are ready for, or are good at. Besides making the programs in my old ward, I have never gotten a calling that I was like OMG YES I'm gonna be AWESOME at it.

But I've always said I'd accept any callings thrown at my way without a question so that's what I'm doing. I think I did a good job with the counselors so that should be way awesome. I know I can already work with Kelsey and Holly is awesome and will fit right in. Plus, I'm super organized so we all know things will get done because if not, I will freak out. And no one wants a freaking out Nicky. She's not fun. (Even though Normal Nicky isn't that much fun either haha)

Anyway, now you all know. I got called and set apart today. So it's official. Relief Society President of the Spencer 8th YSA Ward. Go team awesome.

Day 16, 17, and 18

Day 16: Another picture of yourself

Day 17: Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why

I don't think I want to switch lives with anyone. There's no one I envy or anything like that, so why would I want to switch?

Day 18: Plans/Dreams/Goals that you have

I've learned not to really make plans haha. At least long term plans. Nothing goes as planned, so why try? I guess goals would just to be happy. Who cares where my live takes me, or what I'm doing, or who I'm with as long as I'm happy. Within reason, I guess. I would like to get married one day and own my own business, but that's as much "planning/dreaming/goals" I've had haha.
